Bio

Melanie Holcomb has been the Production Manager for Opera Studies in the CMU School of Music since 2018. Melanie attended the University of Florida and is a graduate of the California Institute of the Arts in Stage Management. She has served in stage and road management roles for professional theatre, opera and ballet companies across the country. Melanie also held positions at Chatham University, Point Park University, the University of Iowa and was a 2021 Andy Award winner here at CMU. Outside of the arts Melanie holds a PA license in massage therapy, was elected borough mayor and opened a local coffeeshop. Having worked in 48 states, Pittsburgh is her and her family's favorite hometown.
