There are three ways to participate in the Pre-College experience:

1.  Full-Time (Resident)

Designed for rising high school juniors and seniors, our six-week residential program will give you the opportunity to see what college is like.  This is not high school and it is not camp - it is as close to college as a high school student can get.  You get to live on campus, take classes with conservatory professors, rehearse and perform with other students from the region, and enjoy the freedom of college life in a safe environment.

Pre-College Music Scholarships

Pre-College Music is pleased to offer a number of merit-based tuition scholarships to its most talented applicants.

Due to CMU’s focus on chamber music, scholarships are only available to fully-formed chamber groups of 3 or more players. Awards of up to $2000 (per student) may be awarded to both full-time and part-time students applying as part of an accepted chamber group (6-week program only).

It is not a requirement that the chamber group performs together before applying, only that members prepare an audition piece for the application. The chamber group of 3 or more players may be created especially for the purposes of this scholarship.

Pre-College Music Scholarship Application.
