The Part Time Options
Through the different part time options, local high school students are able to participate in the nationally acclaimed Carnegie Mellon School of Music Pre-College program without the full commitment of the full time option.
2013 Summer Instrumental Clinics
Clinic students participate in an exciting and intense routine of studio lessons, master classes, rehearsal, and performance through a three or six-week program designed for the best high school players in the country.

Register on an 'A La Carte' Basis
With participation in one or more of the major ensembles, part time students may register for additional courses taught by Carnegie Mellon School of Music and Pre-College faculty.

Admission to the Carnegie Mellon Summer Pre-College is by audition only.
When applying to the program, all students must audition into a Major Studio: instrumental, vocal or composition. Applicants must upload an audio recording of a solo representative of your level of performance (vocal/instrumental applicants) or scores of recent original compostitions (composition applicants). Please include a summary or resumé of your musical training and accomplishments. NOTE: Auditions are waived for members of PYSO, TRYPO, RCYBB, and PYCO.
To complete your registration, all Pre-Colleges students must read the Code of Conduct and complete the following forms.
