The Carnegie Mellon Baroque Ensemble, lead by Stephen Schultz, will perform a variety of music composed in the 18th century and performed on modern instruments. This concert will feature the winners of the 2013 Baroque Concerto Competition: Erin Yanacek as soloist on Neruda's Concerto for Trumpet in E-flat Major and flutist Rachel Blumenthal on Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 2 in B Minor.
The program will also include Bach's Opening Chorus of Cantata No. 45, Handel's Trio Sonata No. 4 in G Major, and Vivaldi's Concerto for Two Trumpets and Strings with Scott Nadelson and Kyle Anderson as soloists.
